Lake Street USA has showcased Lake Street as a riveting cultural corridor;the images visible from the sidewalk 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Competing with advertisements, it is part of the every day consciousness ofLake Street, reflecting the ordinary reality of Lake Street inhabitants. The result is a dramatically ambitious creation of not only a new public discussion, but ultimately of a new public space.

This exhibit and auction present a rare opportunity to buy an actual pieceof this historic discussion, and it's timed to encourage gift-giving for the winter holidays. Reflecting the project's spirit of giving voice to the grassroots, the auction will benefit Lake Street-area community organizations.
